Introduction
The increasing addiction towards smartphones has compelled man to escape away from the state of reality. Over the last decades, the use of smartphones and erstwhile mobile phones has become so ubiquitous that no society in this world exists without a smartphone. With the advent of social media, the use of smartphones has been exacerbated. This is because people find solace in expressing themselves on social media platforms and it can be easily done with the help of mobile phones as they are very handy to use. Whether people are working, relaxing or socialising they carry their mobile phones wherever they go. Although people can access information about the matter with the help of mobile internet, there are many people, especially teenagers and adults to get submerged in the digital world, far away from the world of reality.

Human beings tend to move away from reality because they don’t want to face the consequences. Instead, they find solace amidst the digital world by engrossing themselves in mobile phones. Mobile phones are never designed to make our lives better, however, it is created to distract the concentration of human beings. In other words, mobile phones act as a neurotransmitter that helps in making people good. Human brains release dopamine hormones because of which they feel comfortable and get addicted to using mobile phones. Online gaming metabolises the brain persuading humans to spend more time using mobile phones. Besides socialising with friends on social media, the google play store offers various apps for dating as well. Many teenagers and adolescents use dating apps such as Tinder, Aisle, Truly Madly and the like for casual dates, much probably as a way to escape from the reality. These people obsessively check out the number of likes and matches they have received by ignoring the daily activities that they are su[pposed to do.
Unfortunately, children and young generations nowadays also tend to avert from studying and engage themselves in using mobile for most time during the day. They end up being on social media platforms to share their thoughts, and photos in the hope of getting more likes. However, when they are not getting the expected amount of likes they end up being in a severe state of trauma and depression. The unfettered access to mobile phones and the internet has lured teenagers into gaming such as pubg and clash of clans. The effect of these games is harmful as it accelerates social stress, cause depression, and makes a child a poor performer in everything he does. Another social media platform known as Omegle has come into existence wherein people can enjoy a free chat with strangers from a distant country. This also serves as a way to escape from reality and get indulged in eccentric stuff.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it can be said that mobile phones indeed serve as a way to escape from reality. People have become prone to anxiety and stress to their persistent involvement in the world of social networking, gaming and connecting with unknown people. Furthermore, children have also developed an addiction towards using mobile phones to escape from studying. Thus it is evident that, due to unfettered access to mobile phones, people have escaped from reality.
