PAPER – I

Minor acts, Bombay Police act, etc.

N.B:-

(1) Question No. one is compulsory. Solve any four from remaining.

(2) Marks for each question are shown in the margin.

(3) Indiscriminate copying of an authority will be discounted.

(4) Quoting of legal provisions wherever possible will be appreciated

  1. Write short notes (any four):-

(a) Destruction of stray dogs.

(b) Gaming in common gaming house.

(c) Prohibition of publication of advertisements relating to intoxicant, etc.

(d) Power to restrict movements of registered offenders.

(e) Penalty for failure to keep in confinement cattle, etc.

(f) Investigation into cases of unnatural or sudden death or corps found within village.

  1. Write in detail about employment of additional police in cases of special danger to Public Place.
  2. Explain the legal provisions regarding various kind of permits for the use or consumption of Foreign Liquor.
  3. Write in detail about entry, search, etc. by Police Officers in gaming houses.
  4. Discuss the provisions about notifying the change of residence by the registered offenders and to report themselves to the concerned Competent Authority and the procedure to be adopted by District Magistrates on change of residence of habitual offender to other district.
  5. Write in detail regarding appointment, remuneration and other service conditions and duties of Police Patils.

PAPER – II

N.B:-

(1) Question No. one is compulsory. Solve any four questions from the remaining.

(2) Marks for each question are shown in the margin.

(3) Indiscriminate copying of an authority will be discounted.

(4) Quoting of legal provisions, wherever possible will be appreciated.

  1. Write short notes (any four):-

(a) Various kinds of punishment provided in the Child Marriage Restraint Act, 1929.

(b) Permanent Alimony and Maintenance. (c) Powers of Board and Juvenile Court.

(d) Intimation regarding stolen or recovered motor vehicles.

(e) Transfer of incorrigibles, etc to prison.

(f) Punishment for refusing to admit persons to hospitals etc. and to sell goods or render services.

  1. Define “Borstal School” and also write in detail about transfer of person, undergoing transportation or imprisonment in consequence of sentence, from prison to Borstal School or Vice-versa.
  2. Write in detail, the power of State Government to impose collective fine.
  3. State in detail the orders that may be passed regarding delinquent juveniles.
  4. Write in detail the powers which can be delegated by the State Transport Authority to other concerned officers.
  5. Write in detail about protected forests and the power of State Government to make rules for the protected forests.

PAPER – III

Police manual, volume – 1 and 3 and miscellaneous police subjects

  1. B:-

  1. Write brief note on Village Crime Register (V.C.R.).
  2. What precautions should be taken by Medical Doctor in sending articles to chemical analyser?
  3. Guard of Honour to President of India-What should be composition of Guard and what Rank Officer should command it?
  4. Write a short note on duties of Sub-divisional Police Officer (S.D.P.O.).
  5. Describe the manner in which Decorations and Medals be worn by policemen.
  6. Write short notes. All questions carry equal marks-

(a) Whether Pleader is allowed on behalf of the police officer? If yes, describe.

(b) What is advice to police officers in issuing Character Certificate in their personal capacity to any individual?

(c) Whether I.P.S. and S.P.S. (State Police Officers), are governed by same rules as regard to leave is concerned? Give your Views.

(d) What is procedure for requisitioning of military for restoring peace?

(b) What is joining time and when it is admissible?

  7. What steps should be taken by Unit Commanders for Prompt Registration of Complaints?
  8. What is the Protocol for collecting evidence and forwarding for scientific evaluation in ‘Polygraph Test “and” Brain Mapping Test “?
  9. Write short notes on the following:-

(a) Ensuring weekly-off a ailment for Men.

(b) Ensuring Earned Leave a ailment for Men.
