  1. (a) Explain the working Cycle of Two-Stroke Engine and Four-Stroke Engine.

(b) Explain the terms-Camber, Castor, King-Pin inclination and toe-in and the effects of each on the steering characteristics of a Vehicle.

  1. (a) Explain the construction and working of Lead Acid Battery.

(b ) Explain with diagram, the design and working of Gear-Box.

Motor vehicles act, central motor vehicles rules and Maharashtra motor vehicles rules

(b) Safety measures for drivers of two wheelers.

PAPER – III

Bombay motor vehicles tax act, 1958 and rules, 1959 etc.

  1. (a) Explain in detail the procedure of seizure and detention of motor vehicle for nonpayment of tax under Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Tax Act, 1958 and rules made there under.

(b) Explain in detail the penalty for possession or control of motor vehicle without payment of tax and interest for incomplete and untrue declaration etc.

  1. (a) Explain in detail appeal procedure against the order of the taxation authority.

(b) Write in detail with provisions for exemptions under Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Tax Act, 1958 and rules made there under.

  1. (a) State and explain the provisions for offences and penalties and competent court under the Bombay Motor Vehicles (Taxation of Passengers) Act, 1958.

(b) State and explain the procedure along with provisions about, notice of demand and manner of sewing notice of demand under the Bombay Motor Vehicles (Taxation of Passengers) Act, 1958 and rules made there under.

  1. Explain in shorts (any four):-

(a) State and explain special provisions for fleet owner.

(b) Write about ‘maintenance of accounts and registers.

(c) Manner and time limit for delivering returns of passenger tax.

(d) Liability to pay tax, where the vehicle is transferred without payment of tax and interest due.

(f) State and explain tax provisions for school buses.

PAPER – IV

Indian penal code, criminal procedure code, etc.

  2. Discuss the Right of private defence of the property and explain when it commences.
  3. Explain the power of a police officer to investigate a cognizable offence and the procedure for investigation.
  4. Explain the provisions relating to examination of witnesses before court and the questions which can be asked to the witnesses.
