Salary structure of CDS 2024
From all the candidates who appear in the examination those who qualify get posted in the Indian Army, Navy and Air force and SSC as officers. In the table below the salary structure of the officers are mentioned according to their ranks.
- Military Service pay to the officers from Lieutenant to Brigadier is fixed which is INR15,500 per month.
- Stipend to the cadets for the entirety of the training period is fixed which is INR56,100 per month(level 10)
Allowances of UPSC CDS 2024
There are several allowances received by the officers inducted through CDS. The allowances are listed below
- Flying allowance: The army aviators (pilots) ranks lieutenant and above receive Rs 25,000 per month.
- Kit maintenance allowance: Subsumed into the newly proposed Dress Allowance i.eRs 20,000/-per year.
- Dearness allowance:Admissible at the same rates and under the same condition as are applicable to the civilian personnel from time to time.
- Field area allowance: Depending on the post and field of posting officer posted to the field of posting receive field area allowance and/or risk and hardship allowance according to the chart given below.
